About Us

Education thrives on exchange across borders

Welcome to pecunia & fortuna

Welcome to pecunia & fortuna. For over two years, we have been working as an educational services provider in an international context, placing German professionals and educators at educational institutions abroad. For us, education is not a one-way process, it is a living exchange that becomes especially powerful in an intercultural setting. When people from different backgrounds come together, new perspectives emerge, mutual understanding grows, and lasting learning experiences arise that reach far beyond the classroom.

Our Mission

Our mission is to build bridges between cultures through education. We connect German academics, professionals, and educators with learners around the world, to share knowledge, broaden horizons, and open new perspectives. We understand education as a two-way process: learners benefit from fresh academic and pedagogical impulses, while our instructors grow and learn through the intercultural exchange itself.

Our Goals

We want to think and experience education on a global scale. Our goals are to:

  • connect knowledge and culture across the world
  • enable high-quality, sustainable experiences abroad
  • foster intercultural competence on all sides
  • build a growing international network of instructors and educational institutions

We achieve this through personal support, individual solutions, and long-term partnerships.

New Perspectives Through International Teaching

Teaching Abroad, Learning for Life

Having international instructors opens up new angles on subject matter, learning methods, and ways of working for students and learners. Direct exchange with native speakers and professionals from a different educational system makes learning more tangible, more practical, and more engaging. At the same time, it encourages openness, intercultural understanding, and the confidence to question familiar ways of thinking.

For our tutors and instructors, an assignment abroad is far more than a teaching role. It is an opportunity to immerse themselves in a different culture and experience education from a new perspective. Through exchange with students and colleagues on the ground, they gain invaluable experiences — both professionally and personally — that often leave a lasting impression long after the stay has ended.

Guiding and Shaping

Our entire programme depends on the people who carry it out. That is why it matters deeply to us to support our instructors closely, prepare them well, and actively incorporate their experiences into the ongoing development of our programmes. We also deliberately cultivate long-term, honest partnerships with educational institutions, because we believe that the richest and most sustainable exchange happens within that foundation of trust.

Driven by People Who Live the Exchange Themselves

pecunia & fortuna is driven by people who want to actively live and shape international educational work. Those of us who organise and coordinate are ourselves deliberately engaged in intercultural contexts and we genuinely enjoy gaining new perspectives through these encounters. Education as exchange is not an abstract idea for us; it is lived practice, something we draw on from our own experience and want to pass on and carry forward.
